Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 4, 2026
Last Updated: October 2, 2026
1. Introduction
ScrollFeed ("the App") scrolls Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook for you, hands-free. The front camera
follows the tilt of your head, and the App moves the feed. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App uses,
what leaves your device, and what choices you have.
In short: camera images and face data never leave your device. The App sends usage statistics to Firebase
Analytics and shows non-personalized ads from Google AdMob.
2. Information We Collect
2.1. Camera and Face Data
The App uses the front camera only to find your face and measure the tilt of your head. Google ML Kit
processes each camera frame on your device. The App does not record, store, or send any image, video, or face
data. Each frame is discarded as soon as it is processed.
2.2. Motion Sensor Data
During setup, the App reads your phone's motion sensor to check the angle at which the phone stands. This data
is processed on your device. It is not stored or sent anywhere.
2.3. App Usage Data
The App uses Firebase Analytics to learn how the App is used and where it fails. It records events such
as:
- the screens you open and the feeds you choose;
- how long a feed stays open, and how often you scroll by hand;
- the setup steps you finish, and how setup ends;
- whether you allow camera access;
- error codes when a page fails to load;
- when you tap the TikTok login button, and when the login window opens and closes.
Firebase Analytics also records your device model, iOS version, App version, language, and approximate
location (country, region, and city). It gives each installation of the App a random ID, and it reads your
device's vendor identifier, which is limited to this developer's apps. Google Analytics uses your IP address
only to estimate your location, and does not store it. Analytics data does not include your name, email
address, passwords, or anything you see in a feed. It contains no camera, face, or motion data.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Firebase Analytics uses the
installation ID and the vendor identifier only after you consent in Google's consent form (see section 5).
Without your consent, it sends events with no device identifiers, which Google uses to model aggregate
statistics.
2.4. Advertising Data
Google AdMob collects data to show ads. See section 5.
2.5. Data Stored on Your Device
- Whether you finished setup.
- Your consent choice for ads and analytics, if the App asks for one (see section 5).
- Cookies and sign-in sessions of the websites you open in the App (see section 4.2).
This data stays on your device. It is deleted when you delete the App.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To scroll feeds with the tilt of your head
- To understand how the App is used, and to find and fix problems
- To show ads, which keep the App free
We do not use your data to identify you or to build a profile of you. We do not sell your data. Camera, face,
and motion data are never used for advertising, marketing, or data mining, by us or by any third party.
3.1. Legal Bases (European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland)
- Camera and motion: your permission, which you can withdraw in iOS Settings. This data
never leaves your device.
- Analytics: your consent, given in Google's consent form. You can change it in Privacy
Settings.
- Ads: your consent, given in Google's consent form. You can change it in Privacy
Settings.
4. Third Parties
4.1. Google Services
The App uses the following Google services. Each one receives only the data that this policy describes, and
Google handles it under Google's Privacy
Policy.
- Google ML Kit (Face Detection): finds your face in camera frames, on your device. See
section 9.
- Firebase Analytics: collects usage statistics. See section 2.3.
- Google AdMob: shows non-personalized banner ads. See section 5.
- Google User Messaging Platform: shows the consent form for ads and analytics where the
law requires it. See section 5.
To learn more, read How
Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
4.2. Feeds From Other Services
The App shows the websites of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook. When you browse these feeds or sign
in to them, you use those services directly, and their own privacy policies apply. You sign in on their pages.
The App does not see, store, or send your password, and it does not collect what you see in the feeds. These
websites can set cookies, which the App keeps on your device, as a web browser does.
5. Advertising
The App shows banner ads from Google AdMob at the bottom of the screen.
- The ads are not personalized, so they are not based on your past activity. The App does not ask for
permission to track you, so it has no access to your device's advertising identifier.
- To serve ads, measure them, and prevent fraud, AdMob collects your device type and model, iOS version, IP
address, approximate location derived from the IP address, a device identifier limited to this developer's
apps, and ad interaction data.
- Google, as a third party, may place and read cookies or similar identifiers on your device, and use your
IP address, to collect information as a result of ad serving. Non-personalized ads still use identifiers to
limit how often you see an ad and to report ad results in aggregate.
- No camera, face, or motion data is sent to AdMob or used to choose ads.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the App shows Google's
consent form before it requests ads or uses analytics identifiers. Google uses your approximate location to
decide whether to show this form. Your choice is stored on your device. To learn how Google uses personal
data for ads, read Google's business data responsibility
page.
- You can change your choice at any time in Privacy Settings on the App's main screen.
Privacy Settings covers both ads and analytics.
6. Data Retention
- Camera, face, and motion data: never stored. Each frame is discarded as soon as it is
processed.
- Analytics data: data linked to an installation ID is deleted automatically within 14
months after you last use the App. Aggregated reports, which do not identify an installation, can be kept longer.
- Advertising data: kept by Google under Google's retention
policy.
- Data on your device: kept until you delete the App.
7. Security
The App has no servers of its own. The data that the App itself sends goes only to the Google services in
section 4.1, over encrypted connections (HTTPS). The websites in section 4.2 handle your data under their own
policies.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is rated 18+ on the App Store and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect
data from children. If you believe that a child used the App, contact us, and we will delete any data that we
can identify.
9. Face Detection Technology – Google ML Kit
The App uses Google ML Kit’s Face Detection API to find your face in camera frames. Face detection runs
entirely on your device. ML Kit does not send camera frames, or the results of face detection, to Google.
9.1. Data Collected by Google ML Kit
ML Kit sends Google metrics about how its APIs perform and how they are used:
- Device information, such as the manufacturer, model, OS version, and build
- The App's bundle ID and version
- Performance metrics
- API configuration, such as the image format and resolution
- A per-installation identifier, which is not intended to uniquely identify a user or a physical device
Google uses this data for diagnostics and usage analytics.
For details, refer to: Google ML Kit data disclosure for iOS
10. Your Rights and Choices
- Camera: You can turn off camera access in iOS Settings at any time. The App needs the
camera for hands-free scrolling, and it does not open a feed without it.
- Ad and analytics consent: In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and
Switzerland, change your choice in Privacy Settings on the App's main screen.
- Analytics: Delete the App to stop all collection.
- Access, correction, and deletion: Email us at scrollfeed.app@gmail.com.
We will answer within 30 days. Analytics data is linked to a random installation ID, not to your name, so
we may not be able to find the data that belongs to you.
- Complaints: If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also
complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and change the "Last Updated" date.
12. Contact Us

controller).
